Sometimes devices like printers or Ring cameras need 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi, while eero normally runs on 5 GHz. Here’s how to manage that and troubleshoot your eero. 🖨️💻
Connecting 2.4 GHz Devices
If a device won’t connect because it only uses 2.4 GHz:
Open the eero app.
Go to Settings → Troubleshooting → My device won’t connect.
Select Temporarily pause 5 GHz.
Connect your device now.
After the device is connected, you can re-enable 5 GHz.
This lets older devices join your network without affecting your main Wi‑Fi.
Make sure to re-enable 5 GHz, if you do not, devices using bluetooth can affect the speeds and create drops in your Wi-Fi connection.
