Internet Connection Has Gone Down

Written by Inez

If your service has gone down, take a look at your eero to help diagnose the issue. Here’s what the lights you’re seeing mean:

⚪ White LEDs

  • Solid White (Online)
Your eero is happily connected to the internet.
Tip: If one device won’t connect, double-check its Wi-Fi settings or manual.

  • Flashing White (Starting Up)
Your eero is booting and establishing a connection.
Tip: Give it up to 5 minutes and it'll settle into solid white when ready.

🔵 Blue LEDs

  • Flashing Blue (Bluetooth Pairing)
    You’re in setup mode.

    1. Ensure Bluetooth is on:

      • iOS: Settings → Bluetooth

      • Android: Settings → Connections → Bluetooth

    2. If Bluetooth fails, choose “Set up with Serial Number” in the app and enter the serial number found under your eero.

  • Solid Blue (App Setup Complete)
Your eero is online but awaiting final steps in the app.
Tip: Open the eero app and finish naming your network, setting a password and adding any extra nodes.

🔴 Red LEDs

  • Flashing Red (Resetting)
Your eero is erasing its settings, please allow up to 5 minutes to return to solid white.

  • Solid Red (Offline)
Your eero has lost its internet link. Try this in order:

    1. Check Cables: Ensure power and Ethernet leads are fully seated.

    2. Power-Cycle: Unplug for 30 seconds, then re-plug.

    3. Soft Reset: Unplug your eero from power. Wait until the LED light turns yellow, then plug it back in. Wait for it to come back online.

      • ⚠️ If you perform a hard reset you’ll delete your network. You’ll need to re-add devices in the app.

  • If it still stays red - Please reach out to our support team who are standing by to help.

🟢 Green LED

  • Solid Green (Ready for Next eero)
You’ve got multiple eero units, this one is waiting to be added. Complete each node’s setup one at a time in the app.

🟡 Yellow LED

  • Solid Yellow (Power Issue)
Your eero isn’t getting proper power.
Tip: Always use the official power adapter that shipped in the box.

⚫ No Light

  • No Light (Powered Off)
Your eero has no power or its LED is disabled in the app.
    Tip:

    • Check the power socket.

    • In the eero app, go to Settings → Troubleshooting → LED Control.
