Connecting to CityFibre's network
Your home will need to be connected to CityFibre's infrastructure before you can enjoy Brillband.
Unsure if you have a CityFibre connection or not?
1. Setting the date
We’ll speak with you to arrange a suitable date for your installation.
An adult must be home on the day to let the engineers in.
2. Confirming the location
The engineers will advise you of the best area in your home for the connection.
If you have somewhere specific in mind, please let them know.
3. Feeding the fibre cable into your home
Existing underground ducts can be used or a new route can be created through your garden or driveway.
It'll go through a small hole in the wall which will be tidied up afterwards.
4. Fitting the ONT
An ONT (black box) will be fitted on the wall inside your home.
The router will be plugged into it and it'll be your new connection to the internet.
5. Cleaning up
The engineers will tidy up any post-installation mess and they'll test your connection before leaving.
